Reflection of the ideological pillars of Safavid discourse in 9 prominent Persian inscriptions of the Safavid era of the Razavi Holy Shrine

The holy shrine of Imam Reza (AS), with a history of twelve hundred years, is a unique treasure that, apart from its religious and spiritual aspects, also has special scientific, historical, literary, and artistic aspects. This collection, which was developed in different historical periods and decorated with diverse and numerous artistic and linguistic inscriptions, contains valuable information that will amaze any researcher. This study, which is part of a larger research project titled "Collection, Classification, and Content Analysis of Persian Inscriptions of the Holy Shrine of Imam Reza (AS), focuses on nine prominent Safavid Persian poetic and prose inscriptions in the Razavi Shrine. The information obtained shows the quality of the Safavid rulers' encounter with Persian verses and phrases used in the Holy Shrine and the quality of the influence of these verses and phrases on the ideological ideas reflected in the Safavid propaganda manifesto or the royal copies of Ibn Bazzaz Ardabili's book Safwat al-Saffa. Therefore, the analyses conducted reveal the extent to which the Safavid inscriptions of the Razavi Shrine were influenced by the ideological pillars of the Safavid propaganda in the royal versions of the book Safwat al-Saffa, including: "sovereignty-seeking", "Shiism-seeking", "Sufi kingship-seeking", "Iranism", and "moralism". The Persian inscriptions of the Razavi Shrine clearly show the quality of the reproduction of these pillars until the Safi period, their decline during the reign of Shah Suleiman, and the preparation of the groundwork for the collapse of the Safavids during the reign of Shah Sultan Hussein.
