Abstract
In the value system of Islam, kinship ties have a place beyond a social behavior and have been introduced as one of the effective strategies for moral development, psychological peace, and the search for meaning in individual life. The teachings of Imam Sajjad (AS), especially in Sahifa Sajjadiyah, and other authentic religious texts, imply that relationships with relatives are not only a moral virtue, but also a means of approaching God and human mental health. The present study aims to analyze the impact of kinship ties on individual morale, and based on Quranic and Hadith sources, it was conducted in a descriptive-analytical manner and with an interdisciplinary approach. In this regard, six main axes were examined, including the worshipful and moral dimensions of kinship ties, its role in strengthening the sense of belonging, psychological security, moral education, identity formation, and meaning in life. The findings showed that kinship ties, in the context of Islamic teachings, have functions beyond social interactions and can be recognized as an effective tool in reducing anxiety, increasing feelings of satisfaction, developing moral and spiritual character, and strengthening an individual's psychological capital. Also, analysis of the narrations of Imam Sajjad (AS) showed that he introduced kinship ties as a means of softening relationships, practicing humility, and elevating the soul. This research, relying on integrated analyses of religious sources and individual psychology, has reinterpreted the bond of kinship not only as a religious recommendation, but also as an effective strategy for promoting individual mental health in the modern world.
