Imam Reza's Lifestyle and the Reproduction of Social Cohesion: A Semantic Explanation

This article, focusing on the social lifestyle of Imam Reza (AS), explains the model of social cohesion in Razavi thought and its relationship with the formation of social capital. In the complex socio-political context of the Abbasid era, which was accompanied by a crisis of legitimacy, a gap between political power and religious authority, and the spread of diversity and intellectual conflicts, and society should seek mechanisms to maintain and strengthen the cohesion of the Shiite community; what implications does Imam Reza (AS)'s lifestyle provide for a model of social cohesion and on what levels is it based? The research has been conducted using the method of denotation research and through the analysis of the semantic and functional layers of historical and narrative texts; in such a way that the actions and positions of the Imam have been read as the "objective of the research" and their social implications have been extracted based on the theoretical foundations of cohesion. The findings show that the Razavi model is based on three distinct yet related levels: doctrinal coherence, through the consolidation of religious authority and the management of intellectual divergences; moral coherence, through the emphasis on human dignity, justice, tolerance, and the avoidance of violence; and institutional coherence, by organizing sustainable communication networks and strengthening social trust. The interaction of these three levels leads to the transformation of social coherence into sustainable social capital and provides a theoretical-practical model for rethinking the issue of solidarity in contemporary society.
